Capillary electrophoresis (CE)

Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) is an industry standard analytical technique for characterization, release and stability testing of biopharmaceuticals.  The technique complements or replaces the traditional Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (PAGE) analysis. Well-established applications of CE include the determination of purity, aggregation, charge variants, isoelectric profiling, and carbohydrate analysis for the analysis of Monoclonal Antibodies, Antibody Drug Conjugate (ADC), Protein Therapeutics, and Biosimilars.

Ideal Uses
  • Protein Size and Purity Analysis by SDS-CE
  • Isoelectric profiling by Capillary Isoelectric Focusing (cIEF)
  • Charge variant analysis by Capillary Zone Electrophoresis (CZE) and cIEF
  • Glycan and Oligosaccharide analysis
Technical Specifications
  • High Resolution Separation module
  • High sensitivity UV and PDA Detectors
  • Temperature controlled sample compartment
  • High–speed System Controller
  • Quantitative and Validatable methods
  • Automated and integrated system
  • Fast and efficient system
  • The operating software has somewhat limited data processing capability
