Eurofins EAG Laboratories Celebrates Grand Opening of New Korea Laboratory with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
KOREA – This month marked an important milestone for Eurofins EAG Laboratories with the official grand opening and red ribbon cutting ceremony of our new Korea Laboratory, expanding our global footprint and strengthening our ability to deliver advanced materials characterization with local expertise.
The celebration was led by Global President, Recep Ozdag and North America President, Stefan Karnavas, who joined together to cut the ceremonial ribbon, symbolizing Eurofins EAG’s continued investment in innovation, customer proximity, and global collaboration. Colleagues from both the United States and Korea gathered on-site to commemorate the occasion, reflecting the strong connection between our regions and the collaborative spirit that defines Eurofins EAG.
The new Korea Laboratory significantly enhances our analytical capabilities in the region, providing customers with local support, faster turnaround times, and seamless access to Eurofins EAG’s global network of scientific expertise. The facility is equipped with advanced technologies designed to support complex materials and device challenges, including:
- Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS) for ultra-trace dopant and contaminant detection and high-resolution depth profiling
- Advanced Microscopy, featuring SEM, TEM, EDS, FIB/SEM, and nanodiffraction for detailed structural, compositional, and defect analysis
- Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP‑MS) delivering ppt-level elemental sensitivity for purity verification and contamination assessment
- Future expansion with planned Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) to provide even deeper chemical and bonding insights
Fully integrated into Eurofins EAG’s global laboratory network, the Korea Lab enables customers to benefit from harmonized quality systems, worldwide technical resources, and specialized analytical techniques, while maintaining the responsiveness of a locally based team.
